About The President
Tim McGrath
Tim McGrath, President, joined Health and Science Center, Inc. in 1980 after 5 years with US Department of Health and Human Services. He is responsible for eldercare search activities in the area of operations. His background includes:
- Business Development
Hired as an Associate Director to developed searches in the nursing home field. Mr. McGrath developed Health and Science Center’s efforts in this area from a regional to nationwide scope. He has expanded Health and Science Center’s staff as growth in business warranted.
- Executive Search
Searches conducted under his tenure at Health and Science Center include physician recruitment, operations, allied therapy and pharmacy. For the past 20 years he has mainly directed his efforts in the area of eldercare.
- Publications and Speaking
Articles by Mr. McGrath have been requested and published by newspapers and healthcare publications. His information on various issues has been solicited and used in other articles by journalists and editors. He has spoken and conducted seminars for healthcare and recruitment professionals.

Has served on numerous boards and committees related to eldercare personnel, and healthcare issues.
Ben Bongers
Ben Bongers M.A., Associate Director, joined the Health and Science Center Inc. in 2018 after receiving his Master’s Degree in Gerontology from San Francisco State University. Prior to joining the H&SC, Ben was a full time elder caregiver for 5 years as well as a full time opera singer for many major opera companies around the world.
Facility Operations
The heart-beat of any well run facility is in the directors of the facility operations. Starting with Building Maintenance Directors/Facility Managers/Environmental Service Directors, to Food Service Directors, and Plant Operations Directors. Ben will find the top quality person for your position.
Home Health Administration
For those facilities that have an existing, or looking toward expanding into the Home Health sector, Ben can assist in finding qualified and knowledgeable personnel to facilitate the operations of this quickly expanding area of health care.
National Executive Search (Outside of the Mid-Atlantic)
Ben is tasked with the growth and expansion of the Health and Science Center, Inc. into the US outside of the Mid-Atlantic region. He will be recruiting in Executive, Business, Finance, Operations, and Healthcare Directorial arenas based in quality Eldercare facility staffing.
Publications and Speaking
Ben has been a Sommelier and wine writer for periodicals in the US and Germany for the past 10 years, as well as a public speaker on many different arenas including operatic, performance topics, elder life, and aging issues.

Ben is a current and active member in the Gerontological Society of America (GSA), American Society on Aging (ASA), American Guild of Musical Artists (AGMA), National Eagle Scout Association (NESA), University of Missouri at Kansas City (UMKC) Alumni Association, San Francisco State University (SFSU) Alumni Association φϺA (Phi Mu Alpha) Sinfonia Alumni Association, and is a Knight of Magisterial Grace (KM) in the Order of Malta.
